In 1898, renown author Rudyard Kipling noted that he had six wise servants who serve him well: Why; Who; What; Where; How; and When.

Of those six questions, the most important servant is always "Why" - why do something in general or why did that happen? Why is worth the other five combined. Sensible people, particularly sensible business people, always want to know - "Why?" Why do this or that in my life's blood business?

It varies by geographic region (the government calls them SMSAs or Standard Metropolitan Statistical Areas). By SMSA (due to the 2008 economic financial meltdown), the banks have recently reported by region that after just 6-8 weeks of intake processing, you can be assured that a merchant application for funding is not approved almost 90% of the time (that means businesses that apply, get rejected 9 out of 10 times). That is the local answer nationwide - there is only so much money to go around (for them). You see, local banks make their notes payable to businesses based upon CREDIT.

We deal with large federal banks (the largest on this continent). They have plenty of money and are pretty smart. Regardless of your credit, the bank wants to be repaid.
